It is a project in which the entire family and the entire Arriezu team are currently committed and involved, but which began in 1999 when our founder, José Félix Arriezu – with studies in Viticulture and Oenology and years of experience in the wine scene national and international, taking part in innovative projects in Mexico and Spain - embarks on the adventure of making and, for the first time, in 2013, bottling from the grapes from his estate La Sombría, located in Pozaldez, a 100% Verdejo wine, fruity, fresh, and authentic, but that retains the complexity of a good wine.

It is these roots and this vital journey that lead us to commit ourselves since the 90s to organic farming, in order to finally be able to produce sustainable quality wines, in accordance with our surroundings and the environment and, ultimately, consistent with the principles that inspire us. Hence, we are currently focused on the production of natural, sulfite-free and biodynamic wines.
